Tom Fiala
Looks great - enjoy! And, as I've found out recently, when the power goes out for a couple of days after a hurricane and you've got no synths, you can still enjoy your beautiful acoustic piano!! Tom F. RaGe
It's a C7 and yes, i've been playing it all weekend since hurricane Frances was visiting us. Tom, looks like Ivan is heading our way too (at least my way!) ... Bartolomeo, the sax is a decorative accessory my wife picked up at Pier1 I chose to go with Yammy because their pianos are not very expensive to maintain and the C7 records well in a jazz/pop setting. MikeT156
WOW! WOW again! What a beautiful instrument. It has a very nice environment to reside as well! You lucky dog!! Not only you can play during a power outage, you can light to the room by candlelight in order to see when the sun goes down. However, I would not recommend putting candles on the piano! stoo schultz
RaGe, since you're in Florida, I'm sure you know the score about temp and humidity and pianos . . . . My tuner is obsessive about heat and humidity, makes sure I keep a damp chaser inside all the time and a sheet of felt over the strings. "More pianos have been trashed in Florida per square mile than anyplace else on earth" he says, while complaining that my A/C is never high enough to suit him Looks beautiful and I'm sure it sounds that way too, congrats. Tom Fiala
When I was growing up, my parents bought a Yamaha baby grand - a C6 maybe - not as large as yours. I spent most of high school playing that - and still enjoy sitting down at it when I visit. I'm sure you'll have plenty of good times and good memories with this one, too. Glad you've got the Dampp-Chaser on it. Tom F. "It is what it is."

RaGe
Thanks guys, this piano is a blessing. I had never owned an acoustic piano, not even an upright and I know it's been detrimental to my playing. I plan to go back to private instruction and basically start from scratch, work on proper technique, position, study some classical pieces etc .. all the things I didn't want to do when my parents got me my first electronic keyboard at the rebellious age of 13. Then I got into jazz later on, played in bands and didn't develop much of a left hand playing chords ... So here I am now with this piano and I can't play any solo piece, I can't really make it sing like a true pianist would ... However, it was a sound business decision for the studio since I am already getting booked for piano sessions btw the painting is an Archiguille
