Roland MFX - Acoustic guitar?

Do you think it's possible on the Roland Fantom-S to fiddle with 3 MFX's and get a near-acoustic guitar effect? Then I could run my Strat through it and use it until I can afford an electric-acoustic hybrid. It does seem like one helluva longshot though... but there are 77 effects - among them EQ's, choruses, reverbs of course... you can also run the guitar through a noise suppressor, limiter, center canceler...

Maybe the best idea is to just get an acoustic modeling pedal? But like I said, I'm broke so I thought this messing with the MFX might be an option.

NO. :D

Don't waste your time. I've fiddled with lots of stuff with my guitarists, including the VG 88 acoustic emulations. It's not worth it. An acoustic is such a familar, multi-dimensional sound, the cheating is transparent, even with the best digital emulations.

Borrow an acoustic for the gig or the session.

Or play with the tone of the guitar or synth to let it play the role of the acoustic, without attempting to sound like it. (Harpsichords do well for fingerpicking arrangements, clavs in lieu of acoustic rhythm parts, for example.)
