Hi Dan,

 

Your best bet is to join the Spectrasonics Yahoo group and ask there. Eric Persing (spectrumep) and his team answer questions like this on there everyday. They are very quick to solve issues like this.

 

I suspect that they will ask you to "repair permissions" twice and they try again. Do you know how to do this? (Oh, I'm assuming you are having this problem on a Mac, right?)

The secret is to put an alias to the file in the HD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components folder. The alias must have the exact same name as the file, i.e. no "alias" in the name.
