tarkus
October - December 2004: Keith Emerson and his band will be appearing as a support act (along with Tesla) on the North American leg of Scorpions' Unbreakable World Tour http://keithemerson.com/ Looks like this is mostly southwest tour dates. Tesla? I hope they don't have to follow Emo... If you want to hear some great stuff and missed the NY/NJ shows - west and southwest KC'ers here's your chance. Ben One
Thanks, Tarkus! Yes, it does seem that the band is playing mainly in the West, Southwest, and Midwest US. Hope they come to the DC area soon! This is a rare opportunity! Ben Eddie Jobson Tribute Projects

Maybe one of the drummers rushes at designated parts of the songs like Carl did on all those ELP records! Tusker
Cool. Hard to believe, he's actually stopping in Dallas. I've never seen Emo live. I'm not going to miss this. Jerry
ELP71
Although I'm glad to hear Emerson is on tour... ..but as a support group for The Scorpions??? And Tesla??? Yuck. Evidently Emerson's ego can't deal with the fact that HE NEEDS TO PLAY SMALL LOW KEY GIGS. This is what helped destroy ELP. Weasels ripped my flesh. Rzzzzzzz. Odyssian
Wow! I wonder if he's bringing his modular? Does anyone know what his setlist is these days? All ELP or Nice stuff, or is it new material?
b_3guy
I just went thru the pics at Keith's site & compared to the guys in Yes, he looks like a million bucks. I didn't even recognize Steve Howe. . . too many road trips? Steve www.seagullphotodesign.com

tarkus
I agree he should be headlining small venues, rather than opening for fading metal - pseudo metal acts - the BB King show was great. I'd like to see Emo's band and Carl Palmer's band on a split bill.

Immo
I was at Moogfest where Emo had a set, and uncultured me, I didn't even know what his modular was. I thought it was just a big patch bay for general house sound. He only played ELP stuff, but I heard that at his solo concert he played some Nice material. billyb
Just got the latest edition of the "ELP Digest" from the always excellent John Arnold. Someone wrote in to say that the modular has had some work in the last few years and it wasn't only from Will Alexander. You can find it at www.brain-salad.com There are no stupid questions but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots!
PianoJazz1951
...fronting for the Scorpions??? The more things change, the more they stay the same. The first time I saw ELP in Cincinnati in '71, they were fronting for "The James Gang", Joe Walsh's first band. We will not waiver; we will not tire; we will not falter; and we will not fail!
