MIDIdiot
Believe it or not I just signed onto ebay for the very 1st time. This online music store is selling a used e-mu vintage pro. Do I have anything to worry about?
Mark Zeger
Check the seller's information over on the right screen area. If the seller has been active on eBay for a long period of time, has a high number of transactions, and has positive feedback at or near 100%, they would be very reputable by eBay standards. You can also read brief comments from people who have bought from this seller. I found the auction item and, IMO, it looks like this seller is a relatively safe one. When looking for an item on eBay, it's a good idea to look at completed auction prices for the same item. Then you'll find a reasonable "market value" to determine a good price in an active auction. BTW, you realize that eBay is a slippery slope to GAS, don't you? It means never having to say "I have some money burning a hole in my wallet" ever again. Eric Frampton
I live in Atlanta and have wandered through their store (and occasionally bought stuff from them) for many years. I don't know how they handle their ebay auctions, but as retail stores go they've always been good folks to deal with. MIDIdiot
why every time I place a bid, it immediately says I've been outbid? I'm placing a higher bid than what's being displayed
zvenx
because someone has set a maximum bid higher than what you are bidding currently. eg. an item is going for $10 and I put a bid for $100. it will display as $11 and anyone who bids less than $100, ebay will automatically up my displayed bid up to a maximum of $100. hope that helped. rsp richard sven sound sculptist
