Michiel
Are there any music teachers on the forum. Maybe we could excange thoughts and material. First question: does anybody know where to find arrangements for schoolbands? I mean arrangements allready in midi or another format for a notation program. I know of www.sibeliusmusic.com but there not so much to my liking. Greetz Michiel
I I mjrn
Unless you're specifically looking for keyboardists, there are some on the Lowdown Forum. Look for a fellow named DaveBrownBass over there.
Reverend Rhythm
I teach elementary music (6 -12 year olds), but I don't know of any midi files. Can I help with any thing else? David
davebrownbass
Thanks for thinking of me. I teach MS and HS orchestra, and purchase my arrangements from either Peppers music or Lucks Music in Detroit. Lucks is especially great for orchestra. I am also good friends with 2 pretty renowned arrangers, one for jazz, one for straight band arrangements. These guys accept commissions. As far as amatuer arrangments go, there are not many freebies...Sibelius.com does have a lot of stuff. "Let's raise the level of this conversation" -- Jeremy Cohen, in the Picasso Thread. Still spendin' that political capital far faster than I can earn it...stretched way out on a limb here and looking for a better interest rate. linwood
[http://musicmoz.org/Shopping/Sheet_Music/Band_and_Ensemble/ some links here. I'm not a music teacher, but have great respect for what you're doing. I had the same music teacher from 5th grade through high school. Man, what an influence he was. RIP Mr. Thier.
