monas Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 I have recently built a small project studio. Most aspects have not turned out so bad, but on a limit budget I couldn't aford new (better) monitors. I have a pair of alesis monitor two's. The control room is small and from playing around with placement I find they do better in a bigger room. Low end is impossible in the new room. Is there anything I can try to resolve this situation without spending ton's of cash.
vintagevibe Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 Maybe some acoustical foam to deaden things a bit?
not Cereal Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 hey guys. monas is my buddy up here in fargo. his setup is pretty good, but i think the monitor two's are a little to big for the size room they are in.
KHAN Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 A friend of mine had monitor twos, and I always hated the mid range in them. Very boxey to me. They can get LOUD and are probably not good in a small room. My advice would be to get a set of Tannoy Reveals (approx. $300). Use the mon. 2's when the band wants to be impressed by the massive impact of their music. So Many Drummers. So Little Time...
Hippie Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 wack some of the low-end w/EQ? In two days, it won't matter.
