The Italian DISMA Show did not display, in my opinion, anything major in terms of R&D, but I was looking for my sales reps mostly and I must admit took only casual glances at equipment. I've seen all the booths but I did not notice anything that wasn't introduced at NAMM. Fantom X was out, and some Edirol keyboards and interfaces as well; other than that, business as usual. Kurzweil handed me a preview flier of their new PC1X, but it wasn't on display. Even Alesis failed to display their new Micron synth, while the new small effect boxes and karaoke machines they have were there. DJ speaking, there were many more novelties, as this year the music show was joined with the clubs and disco equipment show, and most companies, having products listed in both worlds, opted to exhibit in the larger disco show.
