Do you use general purpose effects (Fireworx, Kaoss) or dedicated one-trick ponies (tube pres, leslie sims). How do you control the efx? Is there a good general purpose processor out there that responds smoothly to midi control and can be well integrated with the midi controllers on the synth? (For example, most EFX appear to provide smooth control of the wet/dry mix in an amp sim, but will stutter if you try to control gain/overdrive in real time.) Any advice in the $300-$500 range?
