The last Synth-Ninja
Oscar petersen is kinda of obvious, but who´s your favorite-player.
petros
Oscar Peterson foremost, then Gene Harris, Monty Alexander, Horace Silver, Wynton Kelly, Red Garland & Bobby Timmons. I could also mention Les McCann, Junior Mance and Ramsey Lewis, but I consider them second tier.
moj
I like vocalist /pianist Charles Brown. He is a blues artist, but he uses many jazz styles like substitutions, II-V7-I changes and block chording. Brother Ray Charles - He has a few jazz recordings that are blusey. Ray Bryant - He has some solo piano recordings that are classics. His version of "After Hours" is great.
