Hanshananigan Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 *bump* I don't know, but your are the man for trying to build this thing! Have you ever tried to build a cowbell?
fantasticsound Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 I sincerely doubt it. The CA-10 (larger predecessor of the chromatic version of your tuner) dots every 5 cents and the virtual pointer can adjust between them. I assume this means the most accurate division it can measure is 2.5 cents. There are 1200 cents per octave, 100 cents per semi-tone. You do the math. ;) Or, you could buy the CA-20 (or a CA-10) and simply recalibrate the reference tone to 442Hz. It can be done with two presses of the calibration button. (It pays to spend the extra $5 or $10 on the chromatic version. :D ) It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
20to20 Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Hank, I know you're trying to keep your budget down, but you might consider investing in a Strobo-tuner, or a new-fangled digital Strobo... It'll make tuning your bars and resonators much, much easier... ;) As always, good luck, Bob Phillips 20to20soundesign
ECBRules Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Yeah you need at the least a needle tuner, and you could possibly get access to a strobe tuner through a repair shop. The digital tuner is no where near accurate enough http://www.kennyruyter.com/old/cowmix.mp3 <- Cowbell fever REMIX oh damn!!! http://www.eastcoastbands.com aka: ECBRules . thisOLDdude . keny .
