tdm71
I love these type of old school funk sounds and was wondering if I would be able to easily re-create these on a ION?? What synth would be my best choice? Anyone know if they sound PURE ANALOG or not ?? Here's the link for the MP3 demo http://www.bigfishaudio.com/4DCGI/detailDemos.html?665 Any suggestions for how to create a few of these sounds? synthetic
Sounds like a Juno 106 to me, thin analog.

alfonso
I have one and it's great! You can't have anything more analog sounding in digital technology. I have also soundcards from them with the same astounding synths. http://www.creamware.de/en/products/noah/overview.asp Guess the Amp .... now it's finished... Here it is! tdm71
SORRY GUYS!!! I'm trying to edit my last couple responses but all it keeps doing is posting new ones Anyways, I was wondering how well the ION can re-capture those types of sounds?? Would anyone be able to give me a quick couple pointers (try modulating the blah with the blah or take a tri osc and do this) on how to create any of those sounds?? ONCE AGAIN< SORRY FOR THE REPEAT POSTS:)
Dave Bryce
Originally posted by tdm71: Any thoughts about how well the ION can re-capture those sounds??I didn't hear one sound on that demo that I thought was unusual or complex to reproduce. I don't see any reason that the Ion couldn't do any of those, except for the picked bass sample, of course... dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Affiliations: Cloud Microphones • Music Player Network
Dan South
Okay, I'm going to be my usual disagreeable self but... (a) the demo doesn't sound anything like a Juno-60. (b) it reminds me more of Absynth, a soft synth from Native Instruments . © It doesn't sound like anything that I've heard demo'd on an Ion, but Dave would be the final authority on whether an Ion could mimic these sounds. The Black Knight always triumphs!
