Hi Gang!

Here's the skinny!

Abigail Hannah Traynor

Born 10/29/03 8:27PM

7lbs 11.8 ounces, 21" long (including Conehead)

Baby is perfectly healthy, has reddish brown full head of hair, and huge blue eyes. She looks like Momma (phew!) except she got my nose...

Momma is recovering from 26 hours of labor, ending with 3.5 hours of the heavy pushing. She lacerated herself pretty badly, but they stitched her back up and she'll be just fine. What a display of courage, I've never seen anything like it!!

I put up an Abby page on my site at http://www.llarion.com. and added about a dozeon more pix!!! I'll fill in more as I can, and she'll probably have her own site soon... Take a peek!!!

Cheers!

Phil, congratulations! Was it Steven Wright who said he kept a diary while he was in the womb, and on Day 1 wrote, 'still tired from the trip'.

No guitarists were harmed during the making of this message.

In general, harmonic complexity is inversely proportional to the ratio between chording and non-chording instruments.

Congratulations Phil. Abigail Hannah - beautiful name for a beautiful baby.

26 hours of labor! Hopefully, this wasn't due to the wonders of managed care. My ex went through 20 hours of labor with the last 4 being back labor. We were at an HMO (never again!) and they did everything they could to avoid the cost of a C-section. I'm not a violent person, but after seeing my ex go through that much pain, I grabbed her doctor by the lapels in the hallway and demanded that they do something NOW. It was a good thing I did. They had missed that Meg was stuck and even with the C-section, she had to be pushed back. Meg had so much of a conehead, I began to think we'd need to name her Prymatt.

He also stated that he was cesarean born and while you would not notice it to look at him he always leaves a house by going out a window... :)

Congratulations, Phil. Best of health to all three of you. You're going to love fatherhood. When my little girl got to about 2, I would sit her on my lap and let her bang on the Rhodes. She would have the best time, then turn and kiss me on the cheek. That's the kind of moment you've got to look forward to.

The 26 hours with 3 1/2 of pushing sounds a lot like Kelly's labor with Connor (almost) 5 years ago. Connor was 4 weeks early. Hopefully she took the drugs and they didn't wear out before she was done.
