I have just listen to the latest mp3 I've posted ( D.I.Y )and to my suprise it sucks... Sounds like I've been mixing for only a week. wierd enough since listening to the same track on a CD its a great mix - every thing sits nice and works well. and now my grungy bass sounds so thin and oh so loud.. This is extrimly wierd since this mp3 was encoded to 192 bit. Any ideas what went wrong? (I used itune to encode this one) Thanks

i find my mp3's sound like turd if i hit the mids too hard before encoding. i am talking whacking 12db off the top of the original, then converting. bad news in the beginning, then gets worse. also, are you using a mac? soundjam works great on a mac for converting sd2 (aiff or wav for you pc knuckleheads) to mp3. i use pc's too but er uh..they all have those pesky soundblaster cards so i dont know what they are soundng like

Hey Danny: I don't know if it's just me but I can't even get that song to play. Also can't get the page for SSS radio to come up. I don't understand it I'm on broadband. Anyway I'd love to give a listen but I'm experiencing technical difficulties. I have noticed that MP3 tracks sound better on my computer on Windows Media Player than on the QuickTime Player.

Rog is right, definitely check the prefs in iTunes and turn off the sound enhancer loudness thing. Otherwise iTunes is a pretty good MP3 encoder. Cool track! :thu: Pretty out there but I dig it.
