techristian
Which version of Cubase FOR PENTIUM computers is best. How much does it cost? I don't care how good it runs on your Mac, but which version works best on a pentium? Is VST/32 the best? SX? If you aready own cubase, then why did you choose it over Logic or Sonar? What is the most distinctive feature of Cubase? Anderton
SX is much better than VST and more full-featured than SL. As to Sonar vs. Cubase, we've gone over that here before...also, check out my reviews of both programs in Keyboard magazine, as there are comparisons to the other in their respective reviews. Bottom line: Cubase SX and Sonar are both excellent programs, but they have differences in their feature set that will make one more applicable to your situation than the other. If I was stuck on a desert island and could have only one, I'd be fine either way. I'm currently using Sonar more -- the time-stretching thing is crucial to me -- but I do use both programs. techristian
Thanks Craig. I'm still having a few hiccups with my RSP /Sonar Unity DS1 setup and thought that I might try Cubase. Latency is terrible if I want to hear DXI synths WHILE I'M PLAYING. Usually I must settle for using my outboard TX33 while I'm playing and then switch to DXI or DS1 patch afterwards. I don't get the same feel this way. Dan Music In It! TEACHMEDRUMS.COM My Music Videos RED PILL

Guess the Amp .... now it's finished... Here it is!
