ReggaeIdrin
Can the K2600S sequencer send eight sequenced tracks simutaneously & independently via the 10 balanced outputs at the back of the Keybd. to a Roland VS1880 digital studio? Currently I'm laying down tracks individually. And would want to explore other options! NyGel
Postman
Hmm, I should probably wait for George to answer this, but I'll give it a shot. Everything coming out of VAST goes into four KDFX inputs. Each of those inputs can be split into two mono inputs (each with its own EQ and two sends to the FX busses). Those two mono inputs can then be sent to the same FXBus. There are four of those FX busses (numbered 1 through 4). The physical outputs on the back of the unit can be assigned to one of a number of different busses including the signal at the entry of each FXBus (named preFXBus 1 through 4), which should give you what you want. I think (I'm not sure) you could use the output from FX 1 through 4, but you could only use effects that keep the two channels discrete (like Dual Chorus). There aren't many of them. ReggaeIdrin
thanks 4 da advice man but that still didn't help, i wrote to kurzweil support but they didn't answer the Q? either all i got was about kdfx routing all i wanna know is if the d*** keybd can assign audio coming from the sequencer to at least 8 of the outputs so i can record 8 tracks simultaneously to a multitrack recorder. Is this possible yes or no? NyGel
Mike Martin
Yes its possible. You can have 8 simultaneous mono outputs, however 4 stereo outputs is a much easier goal to achieve. -Mike Martin Casio Mike Martin Photography Instagram Facebook The Big Picture Photography Forum on Music Player Network The opinions I post here are my own and do not represent the company I work for. ReggaeIdrin
hey mike thanks man u answered my Q in a non technical manner (yes/no) which i needed, so now the job is upon me to figure it all out and not blow the keybd up in the process (hahahahaha) NyGel
Mike Martin
You're welcome. Just understand that way the effects engine is setup on the K2600 its easiest to get 4 stereo pairs. Some sounds like bass or individual drum sounds can also be seperated without too much effort. Some sounds like synths, stereo pianos and strings you may not want to put in mono. Dive into the KDFX manual it will help out. -Mike Martin Casio Mike Martin Photography Instagram Facebook The Big Picture Photography Forum on Music Player Network The opinions I post here are my own and do not represent the company I work for.
