Calumet
Does anyone know if the original review of the Yamaha Motif from November 2001, I believe, is posted online? Thanks. Mitch My band Thousand Houses: www.thousandhouses.com
RABid
No, but I remember a lot of people complaining about the positive review. Robert This post edited for speling. My Sweetwater Gear Exchange Page

A lot of people bought the Motif and found the sequencer and OS to be extremely difficult to grasp. There are also some issues with difficulty in using the expansion boards. To Yamaha's credit they do have the best support site on the web for a workstation. That and the availability of tutorial videos helped a lot of people. Robert This post edited for speling. supermanrulez
That's the problem with Keyboard magazine even now. I read the recent review of the Fantom S. Again negatives not mentioned. The reviews sound more like press releases. I guess the thinking is not to bite the hand that feeds you. Forums like these and your own experiences with any instrument are always the best reviews you can get. Chris
