Tom Fiala
Apparently, Cubase SX 2.0 is now available. Has anybody seen it / tried it? Is it worth the upgrade from Cubase SX 1.0? Tom F. "It is what it is."
kkrogedal
Not available in stores yet. But Steinberg will ship to manufacturers by now and probably available from mid october. On Cubase forums windowspart, there was a link to a german magazine that had had a preview. Also there was a chat at cubase forums giving some info - the log is posted on the forum - take a look. Dave The Rave
Wot? Isn't it going to be a free upgrade for all us existing SX sufferers? Looking through the list of new features, I see that most of them are things that used to work in VST, but were broken in SX 1.0 - so they fix them/give them back to us and then charge us again..... makes me No wonder they have taken the Cubase Forums down!..... :DTR Cambrian Guitars

system
Absolutely...I would be wary as well. It just seemed you were making an unnecessary comment, though the rational behind it is perfectly sound. Though it seems users like yourself are cornered, and then herded along. Not unlike the fawns who jumped to the mac platform recently. These 'professional' tools you know were forged in the deepest depths of Mordor. Even now, they reach for their Master. You may think you are invincible with them. But without, you are discarded and left bereft with all these documents whose format is someone else's property... We must leave them in the possession of a small penguin who will take them back to the hell in which they were forged. One Host to rule them all, One Host to find them, One Host to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Biggus
Sonar 3 will be shipping soon.... 499 gets you the program with a pissload of extras like the Ultrafunk suite of plugs, vsampler, lexicon verb. I'm probably gonna spring for it. "You can't enjoy yourself unless you're having fun."
