radiospace
I just received a Roland SPD-20 (drum pad/sampler) in the mail from Sweetwater. When I power it up it gives the error message stating that the internal memory has been lost, then a battery low warning, then if I hit another key it works (seemingly okay). Is this simply the case of the battery being burned out or is something worse going on? (Hoping that somebody here has run their battery down and seen the "normal" problems that causes). Thanks. Dave Bryce
That sounds like either a bad battery or a bad battery connection to me...although I'm not a service tech, nor have I ever played one on TV. Either way, it sounds to me like that bad boy is heading back to Fort Wayne... dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <==
Postman
Yes, call Sweetwater. They have a good tech department. They'll probably send you another. Don't worry, I went through a technical issues nightmare with them, and they stuck with me all the way until I was happy.
radiospace
Yeah, I called them today after work. There wasn't anybody in the tech department there to talk to me (I'm on the West Coast), so I'll probably deal with them this weekend.
