Mike Martin
The DGX-300 uses type 0 SMF files. I think the K2600 only reads type 1. The DGX uses type 0 files (which contain the data for all 16 MIDI channels on 1 sequence track) because this format is easier (faster) to stream from disk. Type 1 files have 16 independent tracks. Doing a quick search on google, there are dozens of options for free utilities which will convert a type 0 file to a type 1. Here is one link for a free program (I have not tried it). http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/MIDI_File_Converter/ The DGX-300 really isn't in my department but if you're having trouble you can always email support@yamaha.com for some help. -Mike Martin Casio Mike Martin Photography Instagram Facebook The Big Picture Photography Forum on Music Player Network The opinions I post here are my own and do not represent the company I work for.
