Over The Edge
Can you, change the equivalent of Kurz K2600 Setups on the Yamaha Motif ES 8 (I think they're called performances, yes?) with an inc./dec. footswitch a la Jordan Rudess? Mike Martin
Hey Frank, Found it. In Utility Mode there is a Controller assign page for the footswitch. You can set it to Increment or Decrement (among many other choices). It works in all modes (Voice, Master and Performance). It works exactly the way it does on the K2600....in fact easier because its global. You don't have to program it for each Setup. -Mike Martin Casio Mike Martin Photography Instagram Facebook The Big Picture Photography Forum on Music Player Network The opinions I post here are my own and do not represent the company I work for. Yes, they are called performances. I have no clue if you can switch them with a pedal...or if you can even switch programs with a pedal. Since I'll be doing most of my live program switching in Sequencer Mixing mode (so the programs won't cut off when I change them), it's kind of a moot point for me...I'd be really surprised if you can switch those with a pedal. dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <==

That's the second time that Mike and I have posted at the same time and he's just beaten me... Hey, Mike - do you think it'll work in Mixing mode? I'll bet not, 'cause you're not switching programs per se...can you set the pedal assignment to do cursor right/left? Doesn't look like it... dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <==
Over The Edge
Mike, That's great news! I find that one of the very few things on the Kurz that is a little tedious is programming the inc/dec for let's say 80 or so setups for an evening's performance. Kudos to Yamaha. Over The Edge
Oh by the way Dave (or Mike), When you are in sequence mode do you have access to these so called PERFORMANCES or are they just single programs (voices?)for instance individual piano, brass, strings vs. 3 layers piano/brass/strings like in setup mode on K2600?
