-_dup1 Posted December 5, 2002 Posted December 5, 2002 They look just like Amazon... Or they just bought Amazon's software. If you click on the music tab, the top bar of the browser has the phrase "Amazon.com Music Homepage"... Anyone know the scoop?
-_dup1 Posted December 5, 2002 Author Posted December 5, 2002 All the sound clip links go to Amazon as well... I guess that answers my question...
Joe McDonough Posted December 5, 2002 Posted December 5, 2002 As you may know, media giant Bertelsman bought CDnow when their old CEO was big on the Internet. Since then he's been fired and the new guy is selling off and killing properties left and right, esp. anything related to online. For example, a little known site called Napster got the axe after the CEO switch. About a month ago they laid off all the PA employees of CD now and just link up the URL to Amazon's refferal program in hopes to make some money off the traffic that goes to the site.
