Jeff Klopmeyer
Let's see, my son was born a little over four years ago, and the newest piece of gear I have is about...four years old. Coincidence? I think not. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
Felix_dup1
That is so cool. Travel, go to the movies, sleep in, and listen to movies really loud at home, because you won't get many chances once your new little boy arrives. Someday, you'll look back and wonder what you used to do with all of your free time - and you won't be able to imagine life without your son. Congratulations - what wonderful news. daBowsa
Congrats Dads-to-be! We've got our first coming on-or-near October 7th! And we just bought our first house, which needs some fixing-upping...so I'm really counting the days! I wonder which projects I should finish before baby arrives...remove wall making 2 small bedrooms into 1, remodel 1930's bathroom, paint and soften nursery, or convert basement into studio/rehearsal space... Donnie
Congratulations! Like all the other dads on this post I can tell you from experience that this will, by far, be the best thing ever in your life! Dave Horne
Congratulations! As some of us get older and are asked how our kids are, we sometimes reply, well, at least they're not in jail. I started young with my family, the rabbit died when I was 18 and I had two kids by the time I was 21. Oh to be young and stupid again ... or just to be young again. Do you have names picked out? eric
Kids are great! I have 7-year old daughters and they are my best friends! Every time I come home from work or a gig, it's like a big party at my house! I love it! I ceased with gear purchases for a few years, when th cost of double diapers was hitting the budget hard (monthly diaper bills were more than any car payment I've ever had). Nowadays, I'm back on the G.A.S. pretty hardcore, although a kitchen renovation project is taking a bit of priority around here at the present. Best wishes to you and the wife! Tusker
The drum set's more important of course. Congratulations Rick. I have two young kids and having had them I truly believe fatherhood is one of the coolest experiences in life. You'll enjoy it so much you won't even notice all the things you lose. sleep... toys... a social life... ... Jerry
Markyboard
Congratulations - I've got a boy and a girl and couldn't imagine life without them. Its wierd (and probably a good thing)that before you have them you dont know what your missing. But when you're ready for kids there's nothing more rewarding and fulfilling. And yeah I was off toy purchases for a while but now that things are steady I'm back to it as much as possible Alway s put your family first - take them to your favorite music store for a family vacation. Best wishes to you and your wife.
billyb
Congrats. Being a dad is great. My daughter is 7 and never ceases to amaze me. She starts piano lessons in the fall. JimmieWannaB
Congrats. Nothing on earth beats being a dad. I've been doing it for 18 years and every day has been a joy One tip - start saving for college NOW. My daughter starts USC in about a month and what little I saved is far less then what I'll need. Savings beat loans any day.
