Jeff Klopmeyer
It seems to be pretty darn cool, especially at $299. Apple SoundTrack page - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
Ed A.
Yeah, it does look interesting. If it has ReWire, I'd buy it in a minute. Looks like a good alternative to Ableton Live and is less overkill than DP4 or Logic.
Mark Zeger
This is Steve Jobs' brain. This is Steve Jobs' brain on ACID. Any questions?
Jeff Klopmeyer
Well, for we Mac people, a viable alternative to Acid is nice. Yes, I know there are others. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
Superbobus
Lots of new Apple software kicking in. Safari, Keynote, Shake, iTunes music store and now SoundTrack. Me hopes Apple is not chasing the others away from its own platform, although I don't miss IE at all. Other houses might see all of this Apple stuff as overkill, so they'd go Windows only and that would be at least really bad. Now, if they'd port iTMS to Windows soon... SoundTrack looks cool at least. http://www.bobwijnen.nl Hipness is not a state of mind, it's a fact of life.
SolipsismX
funny you should mention that, adobe recently annuonced that PREMIERE and their dvd authoring software (don't know the name) have gone Windows only because of this very reason. It's too hard to compete with FCP and DVD SP not to mention the less elaborate (but free) iDVD and iMovie.

Sorry, this is getting OT... Steady, where the f**k are you? http://www.bobwijnen.nl Hipness is not a state of mind, it's a fact of life.
steadyb
I've only checked it out (Soundtrack) very briefly, but the time stretch algorithm is quite good. I don't know if it'll make it into Logic or not. I haven't heard anything.
Jeff Klopmeyer
Yeah, just seemed cool for the $$$ and I wanted to talk with someone who'd used it. See, cause I've grown lazy and might like a little loopage to make my life easier. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
