Griffinator
Anyone know this one? I've always been curious about the combination of synths he used on that particular track (not just the intro, but the rest) I suspect there's a D-50 in there somewhere - I can hear the buzzing in the verses. A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.

The album came out in 1981 and the Roland D50 came out in 1987.

dementia13
Don Airey = underrated. He played good fusion with Colosseum II , and I think Rainbow's "Down to Earth" is the definitive example of hard rock keyboard playing. Maybe you could try posting that on the message board at donairey.com. I'd be interested in knowing what he used for the intro to "Eyes of the World". And speaking of intros, does anybody know what Paul Raymond used for "Alpha Centauri" by UFO?
dementia13
Here we go: I was curious, too, so I googled "Don Airey equipment" and got an interview on this website: http://www.musicjournal.org/02donairey.htm Yamaha made a keyboard called a CS80, which was one of the first polyphonic keyboards. That was also a wonderful instrument. I used to have two of them... Odds are that's what he used on both the Rainbow and Ozzy albums.
