Franknputer Posted December 5, 2002 Posted December 5, 2002 Certainly I know how spam is taken around here - but, I just got this in the email, and wanted to share. The folks over at TrueFire have struck a deal for group pricing for an awesome little program, "The Amazing Slow-Downer". I've used this on the Mac, (there's also a Windows version) and it's very cool, and I think a really indispensable tool for any musician. The details from the massage:
1- The Amazing Slow Downer sells for $39.95, which holds up very nicely against other solutions on the market. Rolf doesn't like discounting single sales and keeps his distribution network pretty clean accordingly. 2- He will give us preferred pricing if we pool our cooperative orders and place them at one time. The following preferred pricing is based on the total number of orders we can pool together: - Member orders total 50 = $34 cost (save $5.95) - Member orders total 100 = $30 cost (save $9.95) - Member orders total 150+ = $28 cost (save $11.95) 3- No shipping and handling charges, as the software will be delivered electronically. 4- Reserve your spot in the pool by December 15th! Delivery will be made in time for the holidays. 5- After the total count of members in the buying pool you will be notified what the final price is and how to arrange payment and delivery.
They have a link in the message to forward it, so they want to spread the word. So - if anyone's interested, send me your email at franknputer@mindspring.com & I'll forward the message to you to do with as you will.
phaeton Posted December 5, 2002 Posted December 5, 2002 I thought macs were underpowered enough without software slowing them down more? Dr. Seuss: The Original White Rapper . WWND?
Franknputer Posted December 5, 2002 Author Posted December 5, 2002 CM - don't know Vari-i. This one can slow down CD tracks or audio files while remaining at pitch, and it does it really smoothly too - you can slow it down pretty radically, and it's not jumpy. It's one of the progs I've been meaning to buy, but now I'll definitely take the plunge for it. There's a demo available also, at http://www.ronimusic.com phaeton - get outta here before I spank ya...
