patricio
I have been looking at the E4 as a potential purchase, but am looking for some feedback on specific functionality that I require. In a nutshell, I'd like to be able to load my ASR-10 sounds from floppy (which the new versions of EOS supports) and then transfer the files to a PC (i.e. export) for the purpose of archiving the samples on CD. My understanding, after reading through the E4 manual online (including the EOS 4.5 update), is that the E4 can only export .WAV files to floppy! If this is true, it is a serious limitation! The Akai Z series with the akSys software provides the exact functionality I desire, but cannot read the ASR-10 format. Besides, I love the E-Mu filters. I would like to know if anyone has a similar process in use with the E4, perhaps using a software host like WaveLab or SampleWrench to do sample dumps; and does the software provide for transfers in both directions? I am looking for speedy sample transfers for a large library of sounds, which is why I have not gone with the MIDI-cable/SMDI transfer method. Many thanks! //Patricio
