Porn or pop Stars????

Recommended Posts

Weel i just seen the Cristina Aguilera's video "I Turn To You", i think that is the name. I mean the of the car crash. I saw a beautiful, graceful, majestic girl singing something that is worth, and with a princess like look. For other side, Dirrty!, which i think is disgusting!! yea yea, i like to see beautiful girls like Cristina in bikini, HOW COULD NOT I????. Bue, where is the limit?? is we follow the line we have now, in 5 years well have on MTV a pornstars making love with 5 guys while she is singing some thing like "ahhhhh uhhhh ouuuu yesss". Is that really music??? Where is the limit???

Elvis got accused of being obscene. Prince was accused of the same. Yes, the boundaries get pushed further out every year. Well of course i change the channel if dont like what i am seeing. My point is that... O think music should be exactly that: MUSIC. And I consider so disgusting the marketing strategies that included some body sales, well... just my opinion. I think Cristina is so much beautiful in that Princess like dress, and not in Striper like suit. Just my opinion, i insist.

Who cares - that chic is hot and talented enough - she can do whatever she can get away with - I'm fine with it. The ironic thing, in this post IMHO, is that the videos on Latin MTV are far racier than the "puritan by comparison" American MTV - and the music is usually better as well! Viva la musica :thu:

And you have every right to that opinion. Here's the problem you're having: music or entertainment? The people who bother you are primarily entertainers. They do things to raise and sustain interest in themselves that go beyond musicianship or songwriting. They are entertainers who have happened to have chosen music for their ticket to fame. Accept them for that, and you're fine. Musicians, who create for the sake of the music, are a separate class of people with different goals, and perhaps need to be held to a different standard. - Jeff

apparently she can do both and you apparently watched both and apparently it has been successful in making you think about it which was the point if you do not want to see such things obviously do not turn to mtv

Cristina Aguilera is a dirty little girl and needs to be spanked. Hard. Otherwise, she seems to be completely devoid of any indivual character or creativity. For that, she should be spanked again, and forced into porn.
I really don't know what to put here.

I'm waiting for porn and C-Span to merge. Daschle and Lott going at it, head-to-head, in a no-holes-barred session? Jesse Helms taking on the entire Democratic party in a filibuster? It gets me hot just thinking about it. (I just thought I'd strike some political sparks, for the hell of it.)

Music is in exile. It's been replaced with commerce and the bottom line rules. There are no ethics left in corporate America. Quite sad really. Young kids today have only a small chance of discovering real art which is hidden behind the onslaught of commercial garbage. Young artists that aspire to reach the heights of former luminaries like Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder or John Lennon have very little chance of getting exposure. You have to look good in lingerie to get a record deal these days.

Hey, I don´t like that kind of comments, Cristina Aguilera is one of several artists, like you and me, who is trying to have success. That Is the way she find to market her product, you guys can choose any other way, is up to you. I see a lot of hard work in Cristina´s production, i don´t like to say "that is art and that is not..." After all, art is something more related with taste. If you like it, it sould be Art. Cristina is cute and a great performer, it is hard to find something bad to talk about her work. But some people have talent to do so. As artists we sould be learning from each others and supporting each other work, not only looking for the black "detail". Is more easy to say "that is bad" than do it better. Regards Roy

I am not "trying to have success". I enjoy creating music. I am not bound to have any type of hairstyle, to dress a certain way or act a certain way, in order to let me make music. Some people decide that want they want is fame and fortune, and this goes beyond their need to use music as a creative art. I am not one of those people. It's fine for someone to either have or lack respect for artists who have chosen that route. But to be clear...you can not like someone on the merit of their musical abilities, but still understand that they are good entertainers. - Jeff
