Dual Stage Rock Show!

Recommended Posts

Last night, my school had a show featuring about 7 bands of students. I did sound, and my friend did some sweet intel lighting. I rented a bunch of gear as follows: Allen & Heath GL2200 24 ch desk Yorkville LS808 subs (2) Yorkville Tl3215 mains (2) Yorkville A4.4 amps(1200 watts) (2) Yorkville crossover Shure SM58 (4) Shure SM57 (2) Apex kick drum mic (2) DBX 166XL dual compressor/limiter/gate DBX 166A dual compressor/limiter/gate Behringer Composer Pro compressor/limiter/gate Peavey Multifex FX processor Furman PL-8 power conditioner Digiflex 24 ch 100' snake At any rate, I was aiming to get Mackie Fussion 3000's or SA-1232's for mains and SWA1801's for subs, but no place 'round her rents the beasts, so I went for the best thing I could get locally. Barry(my friend and super lights guy) and I set up the stages wednesday night, the show was thursday night. Thursday morning, I drove considerable distances picking up gear...I got back to school with everything at about 2:00 pm and sound check was a 3 pm. Somehow, we managed to set everything up in an hour...and the show went great! I got my first taste of what tours could be like, 'cause this was such a grind. Today, I returned the gear...it being a Friday, traffic was insane, so it took forever, and then I played in a musical after that! We plan to do another bigger one sometime. I love my job to be :D :D :D

Hope this is helpful.
