As I've explained before, this is my place, I'm happy to be your host, and you're all welcome to come join the party. However, when guests start throwing up on the rug, shooting up in the bathroom, or getting into fights, they will be politely escorted to the door. Any guests who engage in fighting will be asked to take it outside. I don't care who started it, or who continued it. It is simply unacceptable behavior within SSS, and believe me, we're pretty tolerant around here. I do not want to see any more posts relating to Myles, IPs, threats, etc. That topic is OVER.

Craig, Thank you for this post! After an ugly bout myself, I vowed not to respond to personal attacks or else to go the Private Message route to continue a topic not suitable for a viewer audience. It's about respect of others and what they might be offended by. I've been laying fairly low in more recent times, but I am still watching. I commend the leaders of all the forums here at MusicPlayer.com for stepping up at a time when necessary. I think that what EVERYONE needs to understand, is the fact that these forums are provided AT NO COST to users, as a courtesy of MPN. When things get out of hand, it distracts from the intended purpose of these forums and causes leaders to exhaust their energies on nonsense rather than contributing to the superb quality of the forums that has led every one of us to become regular in attendance. Just a note to all; anything that is provided for free has a unforgiving clause when things get to far out of control: Abuse it, You lose it! Keep up the good work Craig... and also, Miles.

You can take the man away from his music, but you can't take the music out of the man.

Or do I have to go out on the back porch? Cause I'll freeze on the back porch, as long as I can get fiznecked. Just kidding, my man. I wouldn't do that sort of thing in or around your house...I'd do it in the car on the way over. Is the beer free? I hope so. Trust me, I can hold my likker, so I wouldn't throw up on the carpet. But I do think that the situation was handeled a little harshly.

this is all really weird........ashley really didnt do anything worse than any of the most of the rest of us have done....especially myself! i have been coaster, psycoaster alalalala, the taliban (hee hee haw haw), the wewus (not really, a spoof), but i am mostly just coaster. i have posted my real name here, so if you paid attention youd know who i am for real. lets not let the party turn on us, lets keep it going. craig i know youve spat at me a couple times and i mean nothing by it, just being the friend i am around here. maybe i am too out of control but this is my fun in an otherwise drab day! goodwill to all

That'd be me. Apologies out to Craig and the other guests, excepting Pyles. He stil hasn't owned what he did. He was out of line, and acting like he was validated in posting Ashleys IP address and also killing the Ashley/Charliez/Salma spirit. (I am going to miss them). I posted his information as a mirror, so he would know what it is like. It got into threats and name calling, schoolyard stuff.

It was bad form on his part, a breach of BBS ethics, and he would not take it down... craig had to do that. BTW What were you thinking? Once the 'ladies' were outside of the terms, the whole thing was out the window. Matt

Look y'all, let's give it a rest. Yes, I think Myles was out of line in posting anyone's IP address, and frankly I didn't really care about the "multiple identities," it was all in good fun. However, Myles didn't know that, he'd just gotten finished dealing with bralalala and was probably a bit sensitive to others' complaints. Can't really blame him for that. In any case, Myles is the moderator of the guitar forum because of his fantastic wealth of knowledge of - believe it or not - GUITARS and AMPS. He was not signed on for his babysitting ability or his knowledge of forum etiquette. I think we can forgive him the occasional transgression in this area or, better yet, not act like we need babysitting in the first place. Myles is one of the most helpful, informative and generous people on the planet, in person as well as on the forum. Alienating him would be a HUGE loss to this community.

Wow. I missed this [i][b]ENTIRE[/b][/i] thing. I feel kinda left out. But I've decided to [b]not[/b] get involved in all the stupid stuff. I see stupid walking I turn away, [i]UNLESS I CAN HELP[/i]. Too often when I try and help it turns into a "sides" thing and exacerbates the war. Whatever happened folks, take a deep breath and let it go. There's so many more important things to do.

This person went more overboard than anyone else I have ever seen on these forums. Some people assume others' names and or pics, but hardly ever [b]both[/b] at the same time, and NEVER for such a protracted period. 2. People have different "silliness" tolerance levels. That kind of action (posting as a celibrity, complete with picture [b]and[/b] role playing, can cause titilation for some, and disgust in others. 3. Myles' posting of the IP address was, a bit harsh, but all he did was end the charade. When I saw that, I thought... "so what's the big fucking deal??? I figured it was assigned by DHCP. When he ran the trace route to get to the person's city, that was [b]not cool[/b], and he over reacted. It should have, and could have ended when the identity sham was illuminated. That's his perogative though. By then, there was so much noise and screaming and cross insults, reason and logic (not software porgrams) went out the window. 4. The fellow that posted Miles' info - that was an exercise of poor taste, and poor form, since the original lady/actresss cited it was not her. Fight your own fights. Yes, be vocal about the things you believe in, and the things that tick you off, but this did not warrant this type of involvement from a third party. 5. I'm in a different country each and every weekend, if not, then a different state. Posting my IP address would be meaningless. Furthermore, my exact and complete street address is on my website. The whole thing between everybody got really silly. Now if any of you are in the Binghampton, NY area, I'll be mixing FOH and doing a 24 track recording (simultaneously) at SUNY Binghampton.
