ReggaeIdrin Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Is there a book out there that says "1000 words and definitions of the commonly used jargons that range from digital recording to basic program editing"? In other words, for the newcomer to setting up a basic computer recording studio, one can get lost with the many jargons and tech terms that u ain't used to?!?!?! NyGel
bleen Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Just use lots of three letter acronyms (XLR, RCA, AES/EBU - ooh, a compound acronym! - DAT, etc.). Everyone else will think you know what you're talking about! Sorry about that! Have you done a Google search? I typed in "digital audio glossary" and it returned a ton of stuff. Here's one: DA Glossary Happy readin'! recording/mix guy don gunn.com myspace.com/dongunnmusic
