Canadian Posted October 25, 2002 Posted October 25, 2002 hey I need to play a bunch of Christmas tunes with my trio. anyone know where I can find some nice FREE "Real Book"-style jazz changes. I used to have a photocopy of some Christmas-abersold book but can't find where I put it. Last year I was using some Reader's Digest changes but they were never as nice as the abersold ones. thanks
Bucktunes Posted October 25, 2002 Posted October 25, 2002 Hal Leonard Publishing puts out a Christmas edition of "The Real Chord Changes And Substitutions". It's got over 50 tunes, both traditional and current, secular and spiritual. There's even a couple of Hanukkah songs. I use mine every year. It's got some cool substitutions in it. Free? Get real! It only costs about 15 bucks, and it's written by a Canadian. (Champ Champagne) Support your fellow countryman! Peace all, Steve ><> Steve
