jlahib.no Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 it has amazing polyphoni, transparent velocity switching, and an incredible authentic sound http://home.hib.no/ansatte/jla/rhodes.jpg got this baby yesterday
Superbobus Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 Ooooohhh, mama! That looks really tasty... How much do these babies go for today, if I may ask? http://www.bobwijnen.nl Hipness is not a state of mind, it's a fact of life.
Dave Pierce Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 Nice! Congratulations! --Dave Make my funk the P-funk. I wants to get funked up. My Funk/Jam originals project: http://www.thefunkery.com/
Mark Zeger Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 That's the coolest screen shot of a virtual Rhodes I've ever seen. They even reproduced the studio clutter in the background.
jlahib.no Posted October 11, 2002 Author Posted October 11, 2002 a friend of mine had it hidden away in his basement... that's no place for a rhodes, so i adopted it (for as long as we both live in the same city.) I think i will replace the hammer heads on it.. is that hard and or expensive to do? There should be plenty of capable rhodes/piano technicians in this city.
Jeff Klopmeyer Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 I'd love to have that baby in my little room. Congratulations on the adoption! - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
Steve LeBlanc Posted October 12, 2002 Posted October 12, 2002 Congrats! Love her and she will reward you. http://www.youtube.com/notesleb
Superbobus Posted October 12, 2002 Posted October 12, 2002 a friend of mine had it hidden away in his basement... that's no place for a rhodes, I totally agree! A Rhodes should be on stage. You know, I found mine four years ago in an attic. Bought it for about 230... I think the guy who sold me that baby is still hitting himself against his head! http://www.bobwijnen.nl Hipness is not a state of mind, it's a fact of life.

The only reason I got rid of my Rhodes was, carrying it (and the Rhodes Chroma, the Roland piano, etc.) around gave me multiple slipped disks in my back. But every time I put my hands on one I want to own it again. You did the right move - congratulations!
