UA Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 I have to sell my Jomox Xbase 09 in order to finance Kyma system. So I need some cheap hardware 16 step sequncer that send out midi out and has 16 buttons on it. I prefer to buy used for less money. Any ideas?
Pim Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 Check out the Technosaurus Cyclodon. Yummie! oops.. no buttons - I write faster than I read! My Music I always wondered what happened after the fade out?
Meriphew_dup1 Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 Buy a used Yamaha Rm1x for about $300 USD. www.meriphew.com
Max Ventura Posted September 22, 2002 Posted September 22, 2002 No, the Yamaha won't do for what he wants. Instead, buy the Korg Electribe A, the blue one. That's exactly what you are looking for, it's a tabletop groove machine with a pattern-based two-track sequencer, 16 steps each bar, four-bars maximum, 256 patterns maximum, but it's all laid out manually, and it's extremely precise, easy to use, and fun, and plus it's got a marvellous analog modeling twin synth engine that beats the shit off any real vintage TB-303. In fact, you may regard the Korg as a double TB 303, but newer, more powerful, and Midi. Max Ventura, Italy.

UA Posted September 22, 2002 Author Posted September 22, 2002 Well, I can't afford the Kyma any more, so instead I'm buying a Polymorph - which has a kiler sequencer. cheers
