DougSt.Louis Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 The first tune I learned to play as a child was "Misty". I have an uncle that's a big band orchestrator/leader and he taught me to read and write as a child, However I'm embarassed to say that I can play "A Train" but have for the first time in my life, played "Twinkle Twinkle little star," with my son today. So I've decided to learn tunes that I should know, like Twinkle Little Star, Mary Had A Little Lamb, the Wedding March..etc. I majored in music with an emphasis on piano, but if someone where to ask me to play "Silent Night" I would've had to figure it out. Oh the joy of simplicity
Raymar Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 I couldn't play 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' or the 'Wedding March' to save my life. I'd rather tweek my synths and search for new music from the cosmos. There are alot of tunes I'm only too happy to let other people play and listen to. You shouldn't chase after the past or pin your hopes on the future.
