EJolson Posted September 18, 2002 Posted September 18, 2002 Anyone else experience this? I've got a Studio Electronics SE-1 (the rackmount Minimoog clone), which I LOVE. The problem is that its tuning goes all over the place during the course of a day. (I think it's temperature related, it seems to drift sharp as my room heats up when I'm working.) The tuning drift alone wouldn't be a huge problem as long as the SE-1's entire range drifted by the same amount. Worse by far, is the fact that this baby won't stay in tune relative to itself... meaning that pitches get progressively flatter as I move up the keyboard. So I might be in tune at C0, but horribly out of tune by the time I get up to C2. And again, the exact amount of out-of-tuneness varies throughout the day. What should I do??? Help!
Allan Speers Posted September 18, 2002 Posted September 18, 2002 This is not all that unusual for an older unit. It is indeed heat-related and needs a calibration. just call SE and arrange for an ra#.
