Dr Teeth Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 Well, i am arranging this song for a recording. I would like if you could give me some ideas of fresh nex chord progressions for de song. Nothing to complicated, but something diferent. I was amazed of how victor wooten has arranged it. It is suppossed to start with the bass doing the chords and a flute the melody. Thanks. synthetic Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 I like the version at the end of Star Trek 2. It starts with bagpipes, then has a really cool modulation.
Jojje Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 When I play that tune I always fall into the Richard Tee mood...
Dave Pierce Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 Well, the only way I've ever played it is 100% percent Southern gospel. Piano driving, big fat organ with Leslie. Man just thinking about it I can hear my Mom's distinctive piano style, doing octaves in the left hand up to the 7th. Ahhh, nostalgia.... Someone explain to me again why she moved to Kansas? Kansas is FAR! Sheesh. --Dave Make my funk the P-funk. I wants to get funked up. My Funk/Jam originals project: http://www.thefunkery.com/
