schmoron13 Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 I got Cakewalk 9 with my Aardvark q10 and I love it (been using cakewalk since v6) but, I was wondering if there is a way to use vst plugins? I heard of a vst-wrapper (also referred to as a dx-wrapper) but I wasn't sure if it's cakewalk Pro audio 9 compatible with vst2? Does it only work with Sonar or sonar2 (or the lx versions)...and if so, since I "recieved" the full version of the program from aardvark, does that constitute as a cakewalk registered user?... LASTLY, in the case that I can use it, does anyone know where I can buy/download (paid version) it, and for how much? thanks in advance
Gus Lozada Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Hello ! Actually Cakewalk 9 is NOT a DXi app yet. You will not be ablte to use VST Fx or Virtual Instruments on it neither. It only runs Direct X Audio Plug Ins. I guess the aardvark copy is a valid and registreable one. You can upgrade for a lower cost to SONAR 2.0 XL instead of buying it from zero.
