Hi,

I just installed the Gigastudio160 to my PC (PIII/800MHz, 512MB RAM, MidiSport4x4 to Korg Trinity, & Creamware Luna2 Audio Card) and everything seemed to be ok, but when I loaded the gigapiano instrument, it didn't sound at all.

The midisport light was blinking, so I assumed that there's no problem with the midi.

Any opinion about this.

Thanks.

Hanjaya....

What program are you using for a sequencer? Make sure the program is configured to recognize the Giga ports for audio outs.

Hope this helps....

A few things to check out. When GS receives MIDI it lights up (turns red) one of the four green indicators (labeled 1 through 4) on the main screen. If you're not seeing that, it doesn't sound like GS is properly receiving MIDI. If you are receiving MIDI, check SETTINGS -> HARDWARE/ROUTING. Make sure your soundcard is properly assigned. Notice in the MIDI of the screen the section labeled OUTPUTS ENABLED. These refer to the outputs of you soundcard. They are probably all enabled, if not enabled them and select APPLY. Click on DSP STATION and the tab at the bottom called INPUT. Click on the OUTPUTS button (just a bit above the INPUT button). Here you can select from you board's outputs and assign it to the channel. They aren't labeled analog or digitial or S/PDIF so you're going to have to experiment with the outputs to find the right one (assuming you sound card has more than one output).

That's all I can think of.

Oh yes, I have just noticed that the GS 4 midi light indicators didn't work.

I have already checked the midi hardware routing and everything seemed fine, the output enabled is checked on 1,2. but I still no midi received.
