Intheether Posted September 10, 2002 Posted September 10, 2002 So many folks here seem to pick mp3.com. I have to admit, it's one of my least favorite spots b/c listening to a tune means SPAM in your inbox. I supposed the advantage to them is high visability and the cost. I've been looking at IUMA, which is also free. Does anyone have experience with them? I'm just talking a couple of tunes to start. They seem to have a really cool vibe. Any other suggestions? *
b_3guy Posted September 11, 2002 Posted September 11, 2002 I just use Geocities the free web sites from Yahoo. It's a little tricky because they have a size limit of 5 megs & as you know more tunes in Mpeg format are 3 to 5 megs. I set up a site per tune & link all the sites on a page on the original site. At first I used Mp3.com, but they are so slow in approvals unless you give them money. So even if you edit one of your songs, it takes a week to the new song up. then I used Mac.com - sign up for an email address & get 20 megs of space free. But Apple has since seem fit to start charging for the sites. So I went to Geocities. When I set up all the sites initially I got some hassle because of too much activity. But after the setup things are fine. His my link. http://geocities.com/b_3guy Steve www.seagullphotodesign.com
