yamaha cs6x / sampling

can anyone help me out with this problem?, im trying to split the keyboard of my cs6x having a sound ive sampled as a phrase clip on one key and a sound from my plg150an expansion board on the rest of the keys, im really struggling to follow the manual, ant advice would be gratefully recieved, thanks

Performance mode

Press "INT" to get to CL screen

Set layer on

Set the note range accordingly.

Select a clip to use

Set a midi channel if you're triggering from MIDI

Press "PLG1" (or wherever your board is)

Set layer on

Set note range

Set a midi channel ( a different one)

Select a patch

 

You can then adjust the global parameters for the performance, and save. All the Ext bank is by default empty, so save it there.
