Bucktunes Posted September 3, 2002 Posted September 3, 2002 If you're a Triton owner and you've been getting by with the stock piano sound, stop grumbling and just go get one of these cards. You'll never want to hear the stock piano again! I picked one up yesterday at GC on a whim because they gave me a special Labor Day sale price on it. I figured for a hundred bucks I couldn't go wrong. At the very least it would be worth it for sounding better than the stock piano. Then I got it home and put it in my Triton, and it sounds freakin' gorgeous! It's a double strike stereo multisample, and some of the patch names imply it's a sampled Bosendorfer. I could hardly stop playing it long enough to type this. Anyway, sorry if this sounds like gushing praise, but I'm just very happy with it. And no, I don't work for Korg or Guitar Center! Stephen Fortner Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 If you're into the Triton, it's a big step up, definitely. Flawed though they may be, I still prefer some of my Yamaha S-80 pianos. Is anyone out there really exploiting the Triton's sample-playback capabilities? Seems to me you oughtta be able to load up some gorgeous pianos in RAM. Also, does anyone know if you can use the CD burning drive on the Triton Studio as a CD-ROM to load up samples? RABid Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 I"m glad ou posted this. Me and a few other people posted questions about this piano when the board and Triton Studio were announced a few months ago. Back then we got no responce, likely because no one had one at the time.
