Tusker Posted September 3, 2002 Posted September 3, 2002 A true crime. The story is here . So if you see somebody tooling around on a bike with "Brain Salad Surgery" on it.....you'll know what to do. Jerry
Pat Azzarello Posted September 3, 2002 Posted September 3, 2002 Seems to me that Keith actually had an organ (one of his L100's if memory serves me right - I believe he always had 1 or 2 backups) stolen from backstage in the 70's as well. Anyway, if he moved to Alaska, would he have to play UK covers (I know that's a reach, but someone out there is bound to get the joke). Pat http://www.patazzarello.com
Pim Posted September 3, 2002 Posted September 3, 2002 Do we have any forum members who ride a motorcycle too? I do... see photo My Music I always wondered what happened after the fade out?

I was not aware there were others. Also, if he's been a motorcycle collector for 30 years, how come his collection stands (stood?) at one? Is someone stealing them as fast as he can buy them?
Tusker Posted September 4, 2002 Author Posted September 4, 2002 LOL. Or he's an extremely discriminating collector. I saw a picture of Keith on a bike once. Wonder if that was the same bike. He does seem to attract misfortune. Apparently his Yamaha GX1 died when a tractor (was he driving?) malfunctioned and drove through the barn in which he keeps his synths. Jerry

Nice. So, since the album that inspired the motorcycle was released about Thirty Years ago, and it was probably taken In The Dead of Night... Please stop me before this goes any further!!! I don't think that's true.... There is an Italian gentleman who owns Keith's GX1, although I cannot remember his name (I read it in Keyboard). Although he could have had more than one.... Wiggum

WiggumActually, that's exactly what happened to Keith's first GX1, except that Keith wasn't driving the tractor. It was his neighbor's. Apparently he left it running while he got off to do something. Next thing he knew it was rolling away and crashed into Keith's synth "hangar" and destroyed the GX1. I remember reading the story in Keyboard back in the mid `80's. Keith got another one secondhand from Led Zep's John Paul Jones. I think the Italian guy salvaged Keith's old one, but it's not in working condition, AFAIK. Peace all, Steve ><> Steve
