J0nathan Posted August 31, 2002 Posted August 31, 2002 Does anyone know how to make a continous drum loop in Fruityloops 3.5, so I can overlay some other samples/loops/music? "You have seen as to do, dude, isn't it?" -Korg PA80 manual
Dave Bryce Posted September 1, 2002 Posted September 1, 2002 Doesn't the manual tell you how to do that? dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network
J0nathan Posted September 4, 2002 Author Posted September 4, 2002 Just one problem with that: I have the demo version. Please help me out dude. Ask around in some of your posts please. This is vital to my growth as a musician at the moment. Remember all the times people have helped you out with your music? "You have seen as to do, dude, isn't it?" -Korg PA80 manual
teh dri Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 if its so important to the growth of your music ability dont you think it will be getting you off to a fine start if you learn to work things out for yourself??? to sound even more like a bastard man fruity loops... it ALREADY LOOPS so what the hell are you asking? its a kids toy... and the most basic sequencer you are ever going to find in your entire life why dont you go off and do a WEB SEARCH for information on google before you BEG us to "around in some of your posts please." whats the matter, isnt mummy around to do this for you like everything else?
J0nathan Posted September 5, 2002 Author Posted September 5, 2002 First off, congratulations, you insulted an 18 year-old. Secondly, I'll really listen to you if you insult me. Yeah, that's it... *SARCASM* Yes, but seriously, cakewalk costs so much more than I have. I am restoring a 280 ZX TURBO, planning to purchase a Korg Triton Studio, as well as the fact that I will have to fill my car with 93 octane because of the turbocharger. That's alot of money... I could easily spend 25 dollars on a 21-gallon tank of petro. Besides, what version of Fruityloops have YOU been using? Who are you to criticize? Well...You are Australian, which as I remember it, was originally an island where British criminals were exiled.... So that might explain some of your childish attitude. Also, you have to remember, it's not the software that makes the music, it's the musician. Look at Pogo of Marilyn Manson's band (whom I hate). He's pulling things off with a Roland PC200 I'll bet even ROLAND didn't know could be done with it. That's just one example. So someone please answer my question. What I want to do is make some drum loops and other loops and combine them together in real-time. How do I do this with FruityLoops? I mean, I can get a loop going, but how do I make other seperate loops, and have them triggered when I need them to be? I know it will trigger them, but how can I get to the window that lets me set them to play at specific points? -Jonathan "You have seen as to do, dude, isn't it?" -Korg PA80 manual

BP3 Posted September 5, 2002 Posted September 5, 2002 Buy the product if you're serious about music. If not, drive your gas guzzler and listen to music. It's your choice.

The manual would probably help you out a lot, but if you're not understanding the demo than maybe this isn't the right program for you. And no, i won't email you. A general tip: use Google. Here's what i found when i typed in "Fruity Loops tutorial": a Google search Rock on. PS: here are some more Google searches: Google search #2. Google search #3. Google search #4. Google search #5.
JJdog Posted September 6, 2002 Posted September 6, 2002 You can download the manual on the Fruityloops site, www.fruityloops.com. They got in PDF format as well as .doc[Word]format.
JimmieWannaB Posted September 8, 2002 Posted September 8, 2002 There are probably more elegant ways to do it, but try this: - Create the beat you want in the Step Sequencer. - Insert the beat into the Playlist. You'll know which line to use by the highlight. There are multiple "Step Sequences" each with its own line in the Playlist. - With the demo version, if you're going to add embellishments over the basic beat, you'll need to inset the basic beat multiple times into the Playlist. Good luck. Probably the quickest way to learn the program is to fool with the demo song. While Fruity Loops may be a toy, it's one hell of a toy for the money. My daughter uses it with a old laptop for live shows in her three keyboard garage band. By the way, you might want to avoid responding to insulting replies. It begins to take on the feel of kids arguing in the play ground. (Did. Did not! Did too! Did not...)
