Slowly Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 For people that have a real human face on their avatar, is that your actual face. What`s the story behind it? Kcbass "Let It Be!"
marino Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 It's me. No special story behind it - it's just a live shoot from last year, which I particularly like.
Max Ventura Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 it's me. A shoot from 2 years ago, for a band project that died out. Max Ventura, Italy.
Dave Bryce Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 It's me...well, my eyes, anyway... That's the cover of the CD I did last year. dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network
Pim Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 I am far to ugly to show my self on the web. My Music I always wondered what happened after the fade out?

Jeff Klopmeyer Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Yes, that's me in my avatar. I'm not hiding in my gray silhouette; I just don't want to see my damn face every time I make a post here. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
Intheether Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Sorry if this has been explained already, but I'm avatarded. Why can't I get mine to load? Suggestions, please! *

Suggestions, please!1. Keep it small. 72dpi JPG, low level quality, roughly 72x72 pixels. 2. It has to be on a web site to work. 3. That's all the advice I have. 4. "Avatarded" is the funniest word I've seen today, but it's still early here in Los Angeles. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon
bleen Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Well...it's part of me! It's a portion of a tattoo on my upper right arm. No way would I put my face on here with every post - people would ask me to leave recording/mix guy don gunn.com myspace.com/dongunnmusic

DJDM Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Well she's not me but she's pretty cute! This drawing is a detail from the DJDM Devil Girl that my main squeeze drew for me. She sketched it out at work and then Xeroxed it and colored it in with ink pens from work. She was doing it as an example for me but I liked the rough look of it and proceeded to finalize it in Photoshop. Added curves until the colors evened out and rubber stamped the hell out of her till the skin and clothes were even toned. Gave her a green shirt, added the type/image and that was it. She has a sister that I have used for an album cover as well. - DJDM DJDM.com
ELP71 Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Ah, thats better. That's me, too. I have to wear the skull cap to protect my ears from the damn guitar player. ELP71 Weasels ripped my flesh. Rzzzzzzz.

coyote Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Yeah that's me... I'm a real space case. I used to think I was Libertarian. Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist. This ain't no track meet; this is football.

synthetic Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 I was inspired to create an avatar after seeing so many on this post. I dressed as a Samuri, built a giant mockup of my Andromeda, and took the photo you see here. It represents the rage of Japanese synth manufacturers whose physical modeling analog hype has been dashed by an actual American analog synth.
Intheether Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 Thanks, Jeff. I was trying to load animated GIF's from my desktop folder. I'll give your way a shot. ~nel *

eric Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 Mine's pretty obvious if you have seen the film "Airplane" (my second favorite "silly" movie - "Fletch" is my all time favorite from this genre). The photo, along with my tag line, says it all. This character Kramer had several moments during the movie when he had "picked the wrong day to stop" some vice or the other. Regards, Eric
eric Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 Sorry, duplicate post...I keep getting time out messages.
