KenElevenShadows Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Well, not at the same time, unfortunately. At least, not that I know of. The Joint is the club that Lee played at during her last L.A. appearance. Very recently, during Monday's jam nights, Keith Richards got on stage while the Stones were in town and kicked out a few tunes. Jotown Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Hey Lee, I can feel you heart quickening all the way from here in Detroit. Jotown:) "It's all good: Except when it's Great"
Lee Flier Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Awwwww man!!!!! Well yeah I guess that makes sense, considering Waddy Wachtel played in Keith's solo band. We did go to one of the Monday night jams at the Joint while we were in L.A. (separately from our gig there), and it was fabulous! All those great musicians in one room were just too cool. Well I wish I had been there... but that's cool anyway!
Bunny Knutson Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 I bet Keith could feel Lee's potent rock'n'roll aura still lingering on that stage. He probably got goosebumps! :D https://bunny.bandcamp.com/ https://theystolemycrayon.bandcamp.com/

I'm certain that Keith was channeling your guitar playing spirit when he was on stage!!! Chaz Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 A friend took me to The Joint when I was in Cali this past February. Man, that place rocks big time!!! Small inside, but still!!! It is a very, very happenin' place!!! Needless to say that I was impressed! Plus, since I was on the guest list, I was able to stay backstage (i.e., the kitchen area) the whole time I was there and mingle with the others. Lee Flier Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 Awww you guys are too kind. We did indeed have a great time playing at the Joint and it was awesome to see you all there. :) And yes, Jeff, Waddy was a Wino. That dude just rocks, and what a nice unpretentious guy too.
strat0124 Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 An "Expensive Wino".....funny story about the formation of that name. Yeah Waddy has an impressive resume, and tasteful play. I liked him with Warren Zeavon and Linda Ronstadt. Down like a dollar comin up against a yen, doin pretty good for the shape I'm in
conceptDIGITAL Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 My favorite Waddy is the dual leads he played with Lindsey Buckingham on the Buckingham/Nicks album. Unfortunately, that's probably as close as I will ever get to hearing him live...
