schmoron13 Posted August 19, 2002 Posted August 19, 2002 I stayed away from the triton on account of some bad advice, but I was researching modules for a job this weekend scorring smooth jazz (whatever pays the bills) and after auditioning several modules, I was blown away by the sounds on the Triton Rack. SO I went this weekend to the local GC and got myself the new Triton Rack. I got it primarily because of the sounds. ERRR I got ti SOLELY for the sounds, but have realized that $1500 is pretty pricey for a sound module. I have Cakewalk 9 @ home and soundforge, along with Fruityloops, so I don't need the sequencer. Since GC has that great 30 day guarantee, I was thinking of returning it (pretty much overkill for me), but I absolutely love those patches. Does anyone know if Korg sells a module with just the patches and patch builders? I heard Karma doesn't have that extra stuff in a triton, but I want just a rack not a keyboard (already have my controller). Also, I noticed those triton sample cd's floating around. 1) are they legit? 2) are they samples or can I import them to another sampler (hardware of software) and use them as patches? 3) if they are patches, can I still have the different velocity layers? Thanks in advance, Thanks in advance
