Dave Pierce Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 The check I've been waiting for these last months has finally arrived. I'm picking up my RD-700 today, or tomorrow at the latest. Steve LeBlanc Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 Good choice...it's no secret I don't particularly like any of the new digital synths but of all of them Roland rules for sounds IMO. Well nah...I'll amend that to say Roland and Kurzweil rule. http://www.youtube.com/notesleb
Rick K. Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 DAVE! Congrats! Hope you love yours as much as I love mine!!! Rick
Botch. Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 That's what I got to play for our Winter Olympic show, didn't get much time to play with it but was very impressed with its feel and its sound! Botch "Eccentric language often is symptomatic of peculiar thinking" - George Will www.puddlestone.net

Dave Pierce Posted August 16, 2002 Author Posted August 16, 2002 Well, I scored. I'm now the proud owner of a brand-spankin' RD-700, with a nice road case. I also picked up a floor-model Motion-Sound KBR-M from Gelb. I really like the look of this amp, and the feature set described in the manual. Of course, it's late Thursday night and I live in a duplex, so I haven't had a chance to try it out at volume yet. I'm playing a house party Saturday night, that should be a good shakedown run for this stuff. Fun fun fun! --Dave Make my funk the P-funk. I wants to get funked up. Steve LeBlanc Posted August 16, 2002 Posted August 16, 2002 Beware of Drunks!!! or course you probably already know that drill http://www.youtube.com/notesleb

If your neighbors can't appreciate true art, I say, turn it up loud... and educate them. You'll be providing a valuable community service. Congrats on the new axe.

Congrats on the new axe.Hell, my wife complains because when I practice with the headphones on in the middle of the night she is awakened by the thump of the keys on the keybed. And no, its not in the bedroom.
