Dr Teeth Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 I play piano in my church. We dont play exactly cospel music, but we do it too. From a general point of view. Could you give me some tips of chords variations, i mean, i use the minor, and augmented, MAj, and all that... But i need some tips, i am getting bored of my playing. What do you do when that happens to you? Rebuilding My Self
lrossmusic Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Pick some music that you really like and transcibe it to the best of your ability.
marino Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 Or read "Jazz/Rock Voicings for the Contemporary Keyboard Player" by Dan Hearle. Quite old, but still excellent.
lrossmusic Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 Probably best but not very easy to do a lot. Try to hang out with, study with or at least go out and hear as many great players as you can. Even if you have to do a little traveling, repeated live exposure to a master will be priceless. There's nothing like hearing it done live!
Slowly Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 Do you have 9th, 11th, and 13th on your list? Kcbass "Let It Be!"
