How good is a Roland JV 1010?

I noticed a Roland JV 1010 on my local online bulletin board. I was wondering what the going rate for one is, whether IT's any good, and what does it work well in a home studio doing instrumental music (for commercials, etc..)

Thanks in advance

I have one that really all use it for is a P-bass sound. Even that I rewrote the patch. I like the following sounds Rhodes, saxes, some horns & strings. The acoustic pianos are kind of cold & lifeless, drums suck. Pads are the best going , maybe an industry standard. Pros - works well with a sequencer (Cubase, DP, Logic, etc.), you can edit it easily with the limited edition of Sound Diver that comes with it. Cons hard to edit without a computer. For the money a best buy. The newer version, the 2020 could be available now, but like its numbers, almost twice the price.

What do you already have in your setup? If you are looking for new sounds to round out your pallette, the 1010 is an excellent choice (although there aren't multiple outs). I use it as a backup to my XP-30 (same soundset) and the bang for a buck is awesome. At the price, why NOT grab one...?

Yamaha (Motif XS7, Motif 6, TX81Z), Korg (R3, Triton-R), Roland (XP-30, D-50, Juno 6, P-330). Novation A Station, Arturia Analog Experience Factory 32
